Dr. Emad Gad, member of the dissolved parliament, commented on the demands of many Islamists concerning the financial monitoring of the churches saying: State can do financial monitoring on the churches only if it spends on it from taxes money like it spends on the mosques.
Gad added during a seminar organized by St. Mina church in Shubra last Monday that incorporation between the Popular and the Third trends in the upcoming parliamentary elections is the last hope in saving Egypt.
Moreover, he invited all Coptic Christians to cling to and stay in Egypt as there is still hope. Gad stressed that he will never leave Egypt, and called all Copts and Egyptians to fight for their rights, hoping that the voting percentage will be 70% instead of 52%.
