The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground
One year has passed since the massacre of Maspero, when 27 Coptic Chrisitan young people were killed and more than 300 were injured. We still remember Mina Danial and his companions crushed under the Egyptian Armored vehicles by the Egyptian army which was so brave against the Coptic Christians and so coward against the terrorists of Sinai. However, leaders of the army were forced to retire and are soon to be judged for corruption, bribe and not for killing the innocent people in Maspero.
For the past 3 weeks I write about Sinai, yesterday the memorial day 6th. Of October the Libaration of Sinai after years of Israely occupation -1967-1973- I was going to write about that unforgetable day and while my brains were sweeming in the past of 1973 and its events I had a serious stop thinking of all those who sacreficed their lives just for me and you to be proud of being Egyptians. And I had a serious stop thinking of Men Like Newton; Isac Newton who become a genious in mathematics due to a simple event a falling Apple that lead him to his famous laws, and men who created events so there are men events creats them and men who create events and history like Brigader Ibrahim El Refaei!
I can assure you that the revolution has reached all kinds of failures. It allowed religious currents in power, which proved to be even worse than the former regime concerning suppression, marginalization of opponents calling them “infidels”.
We can see clearly the double standards in dealing with people from different religions
Coptic Christians all over the world are interested in the papal elections for the 118th pope of Alexandria. Many of them are sad for what they hear about conflicts between some papal candidates, which is totally inappropriate for such great spiritual responsibility in our great historical Orthodox Church. Unfortunately, as we hear about bishops who are fighting to reach that office, we feel both worry and sorry. We remember what Pope Kyrolous had said when he was chosen for the papacy, he said, I wanted to live and die alone, but let it be according to God's will.
I wrote this article upon reading the news published on Copts United website citing what's been published in the Seventh Day newspaper that Bishop Pfnotios said that Bishop Bishoy was mostly behind the appeal against him in the papal elections. Here I must say that someone has to answer this question: Why princes of the Coptic Church are fighting and wrestling to reach that office? One of them is a famous bishop supported by another bishop who was a secretary for the late pope Shenouda III.
For the third consecutive time I find myself in the obligation to write about Sinai! I still can not see any improvement out there, some lack of security and still the third invisible party doing what it always had done, still Invisible -thou it is very VISIBLE- and still unknown!
I don't find any good reasons that Salafis may hate the Coptic Christians and the Church that much
Muslim Brotherhood won't learn or change. Before, Sadat played the same card when he wanted to change article II of the constitution
Before the revolution of January 25, many times have we heard about terrorist groups terrorizing citizens and hoping to seize power. Now, we see their dreams come true after those terrorists had taken over Egypt having authority over the police, army, judiciary system and soon a Parliament. Egypt has become a state of official terrorism. Terrorists have bought our country with the money of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, and the blessing of Barack Hussein Obama's administration.
I feel sad upon remembering the great images of popular cohesion among the Egyptians during the revolution in all Egyptian Squares, and those many young civilized people who sacrificed their souls for the sake of the values they believe in. I remember seeing those young people holding brooms and brushes to clean the streets, and the people defending their houses forming their own patrols. Egyptians were so funny even when they were revolting! Their pure origin appeared after it was hidden for years. In fact, the whole world was surprised by those "lazy and subservience" people, as they used to be called by many people.
Usually any article is under one theme but due to the confusion I'm confused on the them so I'll mix up to confuse readers … In fact I talked couple of weeks ago about Sinai, and events force me to hilight something happening down there which brings more confusion
Revolution of January 25 came to achieve 3 main demands, which are: better subsidized bread, freedom, and social justice. There were few other related demands such as the elimination of corruption, bribery and nepotism as well as trading of power and put an end to the domination of one political party. That's why hundreds of pure patriot young people have sacrificed their lives to give Egypt as well as all Egyptians a better life. Now we ask: Has the revolution succeeded?
As a Coptic Christian, I’d like to begin with an apology to my Muslim friends
The regulation of 1957 is related to the conditions of electing the new pope
After the anti-Islam movie incidents, we, the Copts, have to keep going in the way that we have chosen since the 60’s of the former century, believing it will help us get our rights that we are missing since the Arabic invasion.
This week suddenly without any preceding events suddenly we Egyptians forgot about Egypt and its future we all Christians and Muslims got tangled in the event of a law quality American movie discriminating the prophet Mohamed!
Please, show mercy! This was the last word of sheik Abdullah Badr who was addressing the actors Elham Shahin
