Abba Pachomius, the acting patriarch, headed today the commemorative mass of Maspero Martyrs at St. Mark Cathedral in Abbasya. He said about them: they are celebrating their first heavenly birthday. They are the first fruits of a new era of martyrdom, and we'll keep remembering them forever.
Abba Pachomius added he prays that God may grant peace to his church and send it the good shepherd to lead his people spiritually till they are saved, and asked all the congregation to pray so.
