The Egyptian Family House was founded aiming to solve sectarian problems and spread love and tolerance. Its branch in Beba was no exception like many branches all over Egypt. However, this branch in Beba did nothing except holding several meetings and giving useless recommendations without results on the ground. For example, churches and property of the Diocese of Beba and Fashn suffered from several abuses during the past two years, but the Egyptian Family House in Beba did nothing! It has not even condemned the attacks. Five Coptic families were displaced last year in Kafr Darwish village, but the Family House held its peace. Christians had to pray in the open for 6 months, but the Family House never spoke. The Coptic dispensary with nuns serving it was attacked, but the Family House never denounced the attack.

As the Coptic church is still celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we will talk about a verse that reveals the deep relationship between Christians and Jesus Christ. The bible says: “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death” (Philippians 3:10) Father Benjamin Muharraqi in his book "I know the power of His resurrection” said that we should know God and develop such knowledge every single day with our faith.

The president showed superb excellence in the understanding of the requirements of global politics as he was answering the peace initiative with Israel and the French initiative as well.

Every day I read the news I must find something about the civil Marriage and how is the church in Egypt refuse anything called Civil Marriage. In fact I find there is no need for that entire headache, if we want to solve this issue in simple way. The problem I see that we are facing in Egypt in general that we are keen so much to issue a law and then never follow any law. I really don’t understand that crowd of news and arguing about something I see it’s very simple to solve even without need to issue a new law. Simply marriage is a choice, whoever wants to marry in the church he has the freedom to marry in the church, whoever wants to marry civil marriage; he also has the freedom to do that.

There is no rank in the Coptic church loftier than monks. Devils fight them with sex and money since they fight against the empire of evil. They may fight them with self-rigorousness and condemnation of the others. A monk is a virgin, hermit and worshiper who left the world in order to live with God and for God. He is considered dead and a funeral is held for him on the ordination in the Coptic rituals proving that he is dead and is only living for the kingdom of God. A monk should know that he will never leave his monastery, even when he dies. These are few rules of many spiritual rules of the Coptic monasticism. This is how the old monk practiced monasticism for centuries. However, corruption hit it and nepotism became part of it! Monasteries are no longer searching for good candidates for monasticism.

Those who burned looted and destroyed seven Coptic homes in the village of Karm in Minya and stripped an old Coptic woman off were actually exposed along with their resist society. The old lady reported police after the attack, but the police officer was corrupted and resist as well, and refused to make a proper police statement. Therefore, the old lady decided to go to the church in order to complain after police disappointed her. In fact, the state pushes the Copts to resort to the church and then complain that church interferes in all Coptic matters. This time, Abba Makaroius was ready to protect his congregation after they were humiliated by stripping the old lady off. He refused the shameful customary reconciliation sessions and called to apply the law and punish the oppressors. Everybody decided to call the Copts liars, and only apologize of the president prevented them from denying the incident at all.

Everybody participated in converting rumors about a romantic relationship between a Coptic man and a Muslim woman into sectarian strife should be punished. Every official whose negligence led to such calamity including the governor and all officials. This village became an example for dishonor among the Egyptian villages. Therefore, we should accept no customary reconciliation sessions in that accident.

What happened in Karm villlage in Minya was not a quarrel between two parties that a third party should intervene and reconcile them. It was a major crime against innocent citizens where criminals offended them and distorted their reputation and dignity. An old lady was stripped off in the streets and trailed along on the ground while they were beating her severely. Moreover, innocent people lost their houses after criminals looted them and set them on fire. Such crimes leave no place to hold such customary reconciliation sessions where the weak party is forced to give up his rights in order to live in peace.

After a Coptic old woman was stripped off in the streets as punishment for her son after rumors about a romantic relationship between him and a Muslim girl, I searched the internet to find out that similar accidents occur in several parts of the world including an one accident in Uttar Pradesh, India on April 26, 2016. The story said that a 60-year-old woman was stripped and tortured in a village in Uttar Pradesh on Monday after her son allegedly eloped with a girl, police said. The woman's face was blackened and chilli powder was thrown on her private parts as "punishment", they said. Senior police officer Akhilesh Chaurasia said the woman was attacked by the family members of the girl with whom her son had allegedly run away on Sunday.

I would like to congratulate His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint St. Mark See, and his Eminence Abba Moussa, Bishop of Youth, for celebrating the 36th anniversary of its inception and the enthronement of Abba Moussa in 1980 by his Holiness Pope Shenouda III. There was no diocese in the Diaspora and there were only few dioceses in Egypt. HG Bishop Moussa worked hard to develop this bishopric to become very strong and so beautiful. Pope Shenouda said that a church without young people has no future. Bishop Moussa ordained some priests to keep pace with the increasing ministry. He established the Deaconess Phoebe House in 1981 to train and graduate some consecrated deaconesses according to the regulation of consecration set by the Holy Synod to help in the women service sector.

Mina Thabet is a human rights researcher and activist, but he can’t be a terrorist. He was announced terrorist for hindering the work of the president by opposing him! Yet, he hasn’t broken into the presidential palace or attacked the presidential car. Police arrested him with picture of St. Mary and an old agenda in his possession! He is a researcher that we don’t know what he is searching for. However, being a researcher in our country proves you are a terrorist. Whether you are searching for truth or security you should be a terrorist in the eyes of police. The truth is painful for they think security is useless if not for the regime.

Such obsession does not glorify God and doesn’t benefit our faith. On the contrary, it gives a negative impression about the Orthodox faith. The Holy Fathers handed us over dignified, practical and respectable faith. Miracles and revelations are not common events, but the real miracles in our faith are the Holy Bible, the Eucharist, piety and love of God and people in addition to the practice of virtue.
