The latest statement from the CBC channel to not broadcast the last episode of the program, "Albernameg" by Basem Youssef is a very dangerous sign to how the opinions and expressions of freedom will be handled in the future. How could this happen after the 30th of June? Does it means we have returned backwards and not forwards? I believe that no progress can happen for any country as long as it is being prevented of expressing opinions. Especially if they are still committed to the main values of society.
For the first time after the revolution of June 30, the famous satirist Bassef Youssef have presented his program, al-Bernameg. The first episode of its new season provoked many lovers of General Abdul Fattah al-Sisi.
I was surprised upon reading the article of Mr. Suleiman Goda published in Al-Masry Alyoum newspaper on October 22 under the title “Eat Your Heart Out” in which he said that the Copts have proved once again their loyalty and love for the nation after Warraq terrorist attack. However, he said that the Coptic Christians have proved to be much closer to “the spirit of Islam”!
Nothing would return the little girl, Mariam, back after she left the earth to live in heaven. In order to see Mariam, I had to rewind the videotape over and over to see her standing at St. Mary Church in Warraq in her new white dress before terrorists turn it red. She was pure and happy as an eight-years-old child should be. Suddenly, two bearded terrorists appear shooting and killing her innocence. They may belong to the Muslim Brotherhood or any of its supporters who hate this country and worship blood and violence.
It's understood that the Islamists became so angry because the military intervened to remove president Mohamed Morsy and the Muslim Brotherhood from power. Such intervention suddenly destroyed their dreams, which lasted for more than 80 years, to govern Egypt. Additionally, I understand that the anarchists as well as the revolutionary socialists supported Morsy hoping he will eliminate the state institutions including the army and police and put an end to their power or authority.
Now let me introduce you to one of the most famous dictators Augusto Pinochet who ruled Chilie 1973-1990! He seized power upon a military coup d'etas killing or leading to the death of the legitimate president Salvador Allende -R.I.P.- of clear social tendencies in the period of the cold war USA-USSR or capitalism vise socialism! Salvador Allende -R.I.P.- was a clear obvious threat to the USA policies and Augusto Pinochet with or without USA consent put an end to this threat and protected USA objectives! In his coup d'etas, upon the period of 1973-1990 his strong -army protected- dictatorship regim caused 3,000 deaths and more then 27,000 arrested, tortured, or fled the country seeking political assilum!
Sometimes you find yourself unable to express what to say, especially if the situation you face is incredibly difficult, and is the equivalent to losing one of your sons and having the other one in the hospital in intensive care and in a critical situation.
In the beginning of the Academic year 1954 / 1955, The Photographer magazine has published a report entitled: “Students leave classroom because of Samara!” Samara, however, was a radio soup starring the great Egyptian artist Tahia Karioka. Sabri Abul Magd, journalist, made a report about embarrassing situations professors face at university then.
After everybody including the Islamic group and the Muslim Brotherhood have condemned the terrorist attack against St. Mary Church in Warraq, it’s expected that no body will be judged and we will only have nice feelings expressed on TV screens! This case is going to rest in peace with other cases starting with al-Kosheh sectarian incidents in which many Copts were murdered and the murderers were named “anonymous” or set free without judgment!
Many people have been talking about the upcoming presidential elections and whether it is lawful for Gen. Abdul Fatah al-Sisi to run for the presidency? I myself will be more than happy to support him if he decides to run for the presidency. There was a strong debate about which election should come first, the parliamentary or the presidential election? Each team has a decent point of view that supports their idea.
A few days ago someone was complaining about his child's education the private lesson teacher imposed a 7am time for his private lesson it is the only free time for a child in 6th elementary grade but a private school of languages! Fine those parents are not poor people they can afford a private school expenses not to talk of the must for all private lessons, a phenomenon taking place since years in Egypt creating a chain of endless problems I'll explore most what my mind can recollect, but first let me have a brief historical review. Brief History of Cairo University
I can understand that Egypt needs to calm down after a long time of demonstrations, and strikes that has been present from the past two years. At the same time, however, we can't use this reason to kill the right of demonstrating. I am speaking mainly about the last demonstration law issued by the Government. We put a lot of restrictions to practice the rights of demonstrating. One of these restrictions in this law is that no demonstrations in front of governmental or
Talking about the next president of Egypt, I said once that the Egyptian people can’t yet feel safe or practice democracy. Thus, they need a trusted leader and not just a president. They are new to democracy like a weak little boy who needs protection and love till he becomes a man.
Not every president can be a great leader, but a great leader should be a good president. God gave few people such gift and ability to take decisions in the most difficult circumstances. Such leaders are able to change the history for their beliefs. Gen. Abdul Fattah al-Sisi is one of those men who changed the history and affected many countries including the United States of America. He decided to support millions of Egyptians demonstrating in the Egyptian streets and Squares demanding the overthrown of Dr. Mohamed Morsy and the Muslim Brotherhood.
"The Guardian" British newspaper has published a report about two Canadian citizens who entered Egypt at the time of Ramsis clashes between security forces and the Muslim Brotherhood. It said that they were arrested and treated so badly. One of them said he was arrested while he was going to Gaza Strip. Consequently, it’s understood that such person won’t be welcomed in Egypt because of his relationship with Hamas that the Egyptians hate.
Once again, we have such debate about the American aid to Egypt. Los Angeles Times published an article on October 10 saying that the aim behind cutting the US aid is to rebuke Egypt for the so called military coup. The American aid to Egypt started with the Camp David Accords in 1979, which aimed to support peace between Egypt and Israel. Egypt has been receiving American weaponry estimated at $2 billion annually since 1985 in grants and military aid packages.
As we just started a new academical year schools and university resumed their activity interrupted a few months for summer holidays! Students usually aim and target specific colleges with the hope to become Engineers or Doctors or Lawyers or what so ever and accordingly collages gain their popularity! Almost head to head the top faculties are Economy & Political studies, Engineering, and Medicine. This is just an alphabetical order, does not represent the actual popularity and each faculty represents the dreams or their students. Being an Engineer is the dream of the Faculty of Engineering, and a Doctor is the dream of a Medicine doctor, as for the faculty of Economy & Politics the dream varies! Their are people who dream to be economists and create huge profits but lots of the students have other dreams, that is to become a minister or head of the government or even a future president!
The last announcement from America to cut aid is something we have to pay attention to. I don’t believe that aid can change any person from one stage to another stage. Suppose you are giving a person your charity, do you think this charity could help him achieve his dreams in having what he wants? On the contrary, this charity provided will cause the person to be more lazy and not work as good as he would have, because he relies on this aid.
In our previous article on the inner workings of Egypt’s democratic movement, we discussed the country’s Nasserist and leftist political camps. Here, we will seek to do the same with Egypt’s social democratic and liberal movements. The largest and most important party within the former, and perhaps even the larger civil democratic movement as a whole, is the Wafd party. This is the one party about which people are not forced to ask: “What are its roots?”, “Who is its President?”, “What does it want to do exactly?” and “What does it mean for the country?”
